Bereavement is suffering the loss of a loved one and grief is the normal response to that loss. Grief is a process that can be long and
difficult. It is a necessary process that all bereaved must experience at their own pace and style. Many are misinformed about the grieving process including it's intensity, it's length and it's many feelings. Hospice of Central Pennsylvania   Hospice sponsors a number of bereavement programs. Passages, a general grief support group for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. Harmony, a program for young widows and widowers dealing with such issues as going back to work, single parenting, dating, etc. Generations is a program for adults who have lost parents.

Bereavement Transitions is a support group for those who are grieving two or more years after the loss of a loved one,
3 - 4:30 p.m. first Thrusday of the month.

There are two monthly social groups - Men's Breakfast and Ladies Luncheon.

Growing Through Grief is a six week educational bereavement support series.
