Carl A. Galasso

Carl A. Galasso, 87, Camp Hill, PA passed away in the comfort of his own home on Wednesday, October, 28, 2020. He was born on February 17, 1933, in Johnstown, PA, the son of Ralph Galasso and Ann (D’Ettorre) Galasso. Carl graduated from Johnstown High School and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Glosser Steel Services Center in Camp Hill, PA, where he worked in Sales. Carl was a member of St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Delores (Pepley) Galasso; along with three children; Mark Galasso, Mary Ann Messersmith, her partner Tim Moore and Theresa (Tom) Leach; two grandchildren, Melissa (Brett) Napoli and Veronica (Robert) Probst; three great-grandchildren, Dominica, Filomena and Raymond Napoli; one brother Ralph (Carolyn) Galasso and one sister Theresa (John) Hodos; several nieces and nephews and two cats; Lucy and Smokey Galasso. He was preceded in death by his parents. Carl used to love to fish. He enjoyed eating, drinking/slurping coffee, singing, playing the harmonica, listening to opera music loudly, watching westerns and old movies, but mostly spending time with his children and grandchildren/great-grandchildren whenever he could. He was a man of little words, but had an infectious smile, the kindest eyes and a warm heart. He endured a lot over the last three years, but he never complained once. He will be greatly missed. A special thank you to the people at Hospice of Central PA, Harrisburg, PA, for their loving care and support during his final months. Memorial services for Carl will be held at noon on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070. Visitation will be from 11:00 – noon at Musselman Funeral Home 324 Hummel Ave, Lemoyne, PA 17043. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery 1811 Carlisle Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
