Alan L. Scheffey

Alan L. Scheffey, 89, of Camp Hill passed away April 8, 2020 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence. He was born July 31, 1930 to Paul Revere Scheffey and Adaline Margaret (Julius) Scheffey in Harrisburg, PA. Alan worked and retired as a Technical Illustrator for AMP Industries and served during the Korean War in the Air Force. Alan is preceded in death by his wife Marian E. Scheffey and his brother Paul Scheffey. Alan is survived by his sons Michael V. Scheffey, wife Cheryl, and Scott A. Scheffey, wife Nancy, brother David Scheffey, grandchildren Sarah Scheffey, Kortni Smith and Kristie Neises, and great grandchild Kadyn Smith. Alan will be fondly remembered as a story-teller, an avid sports fan, and a member of Eberlys Mill Church of God. He immensely enjoyed camping, woodworking, traveling within the U.S. and taking cruises. Alan was also a member of the Alley Oops Bowling Team and the Eberlys Mill Church of God Sunsetters. His love of sports knew no bounds, following the Red Sox, Phillies, Penn State, and the local high school sports teams. He also cherished his dog Buttons, a loyal companion. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eberlys Mill Church of God, Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, or The American Legion Post 143.
