E. Allen Haas

May 19, 1934 - January 29, 2016

E. Allen Haas, 81, from Mechanicsburg, originally from Wormleysburg, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on May 19, 1934 in Harrisburg to the late Edward A. and Gladys L. (Sweger) Haas. Allen graduated from the last class of Lemoyne High School in 1952. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation as a chief estimator after 34 years of service and from Highmark (Blue Shield) after 7 ½ years of service. Allen enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and former classmates, golfing, detailing his cars, vacationing in Wildwood, NJ and Myrtle Beach, walking, and working out. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jackie in 2005 after 38 years of marriage. Allen is survived by two daughters, Karen Haas and Kenda Haas, his sister, Donna Orzechowski and her husband, Len of Birdsboro, PA, three granddaughters, Kyra, Kylie, and Kenzie Carpenter, his first wife, Velma (Peters) McVicker, and his loving companion, Elizabeth Bush. A visitation will be held at 9:00 AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill on Friday, February 5, 2016. Services will begin at 11:00 AM with burial to immediately follow at Rolling Green Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut St, Camp Hill, PA 17011. Musselman Funeral Home Is Honored To Serve The Haas Family.
