Edward A. Thomas

September 27, 1938 - June 10, 2019

Edward A. Thomas, 80, of East Pennsboro went to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven on Monday, June 10, 2019 at the UPMC West Shore Hospital. Ed was born on September 27, 1938 in Pottsville, PA and was a son to the late Edward T. Thomas and June (Sterner) Thomas. He was a 1956 graduate of St. Clair High School and Lycoming College, Williamsport, PA. Ed retired from Navistar International as Fleet Sales Manager after 38 years of dedicated service. He touched so many lives through the way he lived his life. He served as an elder, deacon and Bible study teacher at Enola, 1st Church of God. He was a member of Vibrant, A Christian Church of Mechanicsburg, PA, The Church Life Group, and The Security Team for the Church. He was always through and detailed with any task that he undertook. He was a longtime member of Twin Fawn Hunting Camp that he took much pride in, and a member of the NRA. He had a passion for the study of guns and ammunition. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Brenda B. (Bailey) Thomas of 35 years, a son, Jeffrey Thomas of Kingman, AZ, daughters, Cherie Stuber of Newport, PA, Leslie Charles of Mexico Beach, FL, Holly Eickman of Sarasota, FL, Erika Saiers of Portland, OR, Leslie Saiers Worsham of Atlanta GA, Grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Jessie, Max, Cruz, Ilka, Basia, Miles, Great Grandchildren, Reed, Meliah and Jamie. A Memorial Service will be held on July 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM., at Vibrant A Christian Church of Mechanicsburg, PA. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:00 PM in the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Vibant Church at 1775 Lambs Gap Road Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
