Evelyn E. Snook

March 14, 1930 - January 23, 2022

Evelyn Elizabeth (Kuhn) Snook, age 91, passed away on January 23, 2022. Evelyn was born on March 14, 1930 to Frank Kuhn and Pearl (Whisler) Kuhn in Lemoyne, PA. She graduated from Lemoyne High School in 1948. During her time at Lemoyne High she was a member of the Girls’ Basketball Squad and co-captain of the Color Guard. After graduating, Evelyn entered the work force. On August 22, 1949 she married William H. Snook III. Evelyn worked at Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania from the 1950s to the 1960s. In 1963 Evelyn left Bell of Pennsylvania to focus on raising a family. Evelyn lived in several different places throughout her life, including: Marion, OH; Athens, GA; Des Moines, IA; and Memphis, TN. In 1976, Evelyn reentered the work force, joining First Tennessee Bank in Memphis, TN. Starting as a part time employee, she quickly went full time, and worked her way up to Administrative Assistant. Evelyn retired from First Tennessee Bank in 1992 after 16 years of service. Soon after her retirement, Evelyn went back to work for First Tennessee Bank and achieved 37 years of service. During the latter period of her life, Evelyn moved to Southaven, MS. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband William H Snook III, her brothers Frank and Fred Kuhn, and her sisters Florence Cekovich, Frances Conley, and Carolyn Snook. Evelyn is survived by her son William H. Snook IV, her daughter Rhonda (Snook) Ashby, son in law Owen Ashby, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Service Link: https://youtu.be/ZRb9TF7YETw
