Helen L. Marinelli

September 6, 1927 - December 27, 2020

Helen Louise Day Marinelli, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away peacefully December 27, 2020 in the company of her son and daughter-in-law, Kerry and Cherie Campbell. Helen was the daughter of Charles and Florence Day of Apollo, PA, where she grew up and graduated from High School. Helen graduated from Lock Haven University and taught physical education and other subjects at several schools in Pennsylvania, finishing her career with many years at Central School in Montville, New Jersey. She coached softball and gymnastics. Helen played softball for many years and loved to swim, and spend time in the outdoors hiking, biking, and traveling. Helen is predeceased by her parents Charles and Florence Day, brothers Bobby and Charles (DeDe), and sister Bette, and husbands Gerald Campbell, John Marinelli and Dale Moore. She is survived by her sister Ann and her husband Frank Crawford, sister Mary Lou and her husband Andrew Schreffler, son Kelly and his wife Anna Campbell, son Kerry and his wife Cherie Campbell, and grandkids Kory, Kody, Aaron and Riley (Ian) and great-grandkids Khloe and Kennedy. The family will not be holding a service in the area, but will later host a small memorial service near Apollo, her hometown.
