James H. Stoll Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

James H. Stoll Jr. of Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 after a brief stay at West Shore Hospital. James was born on February 10, 1936 in Harrisburg. He is preceded in death by his father, James H. Stoll and his mother, June (Alexander) Stoll. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 67 years, Suzanne (Ninneman) Stoll and family, daughter Dianne Dunmire (Dave) of Camp Hill, son James H. Stoll III (Linda) of Mechanicsburg, grandchildren Melissa Brosius (Sasha), David James Dunmire (Ryann), Lauren Stoll (Sam Alwang), and Joshua Stoll (Jama), and great grandchildren who loved Gramps, Penny, Henry, Nolan, Sawyer, Conor, Parker, and Cory. James graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1954 and attended Gettysburg College. James spent years in sales and retired from Dauphin County as a park ranger. He was active in church and community activities including president of the Susquehanna Township Touchdown Club, Little League coach, and PIAA football official. James was a 40 year member of Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served on church council, participated in the choir, was advisor to the youth group, and camp counselor. He was treasurer and committeeman for the Republican committee in Swatara Township and member of the Zembo Shriners Mounted Patrol. James was a member of the Camp Hill Historical Society, the “Old Men’s Club” of Camp Hill, and member of Grace Lutheran Church. Through the years he would often be found at family activities, school concerts, football, baseball, and soccer games, or just watching the little ones play. James loved his family and they loved him, and he was always there to provide love and support. A private service for the family will be held in the future.
