Janet E. Fogg

August 13, 1962 - March 22, 2020

Janet Elaine (Mummey) Fogg, 57, passed away peacefully at her home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on March 22nd with her two daughters and husband at her side. After a 6 1/2 year fight with ovarian cancer she is now watching over us from above. Born in Danville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dale Mummey and Barbara (Bean) Mummey. She is survived by her husband, Michael Fogg, her daughters Sarah and Julia Fogg, and her brother Craig Mummey. She was raised in Camp Hill, PA and went to Penn State University where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Wanting to make even more of a difference, she went on to earn her Master’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania and ultimately her PhD from Villanova University. She worked for over 25 years as a critical care nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Hershey Medical Center and for over 25 years as an Associate Professor for the Penn State College of Nursing at the Penn State Hershey campus. Janet loved her family, her friends, Chardonnay and her cat CC. When she could no longer work as a nurse because of her disease, she became a strong advocate for Ovarian Cancer through the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation and the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance. She also took pride in her volunteer work at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She has touched many lives and has made many friends over her life and will be dearly missed. A celebration of life will be held at a future date, and will be announced through Janet’s social media pages. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in Janet’s name to the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation (sandyovarian.org). The Musselman Funeral Home is Honored To Serve The Fogg Family. 324 Hummel Avenue, Lemoyne, PA 17043.
