Joan C. Conrad

Joan C. Conrad, 87, of Camp Hill, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at home. A daughter of the late Sarah (Sowers) and Frank Carricato, she was born in Harrisburg on September 23, 1928. She was a graduate of John Harris High School Class of 1946 and had served on the Reunion Committee for many years. She worked at both LB Smith and Central Penn Multi Listing. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill for over 70 years where she was involved in church council, adult choir, Women of Trinity, and was a steward to many new members. She was a Red Cross Volunteer as a Water Safety Instructor, and a Dutch Maid representative. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Conrad, Jr., their first born son, Jan Michael Conrad, and a cousin Sonny Sowers. Joan is survived by her four children; Jill Leslie Conrad of Potsdam, NY, Jody Ann Conrad and husband, Donald Seidenstricker of Hanover, John Joseph Conrad and wife, Mary of Mechanicsville, VA, and Julie Conrad Colestock and husband, David of Camp Hill, brother; Frank Carricato and wife, Linda of Mechanicsburg, 7 grandchildren; Jason Robert Conrad, Amanda and Samuel Franklin, Lauren Marie and Brynn Nicole Seidenstricker, Justina Marie and Luca Librandi Colestock, and nieces; Michelle Carricato and Angela Baluch. A Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill on Saturday, May 14, 2016. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 11:00 AM.
