John Wells Lucas, 83, of Enola, passed away surrounded by family, Monday, July 18, 2016 at his home. A son of the late George and Minnie (Pechart) Lucas, he was born in West Fairview on January 9, 1933. He was a US Army veteran and worked as an independent truck driver. He was a member of the West Fairview VFW, and loved NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was big hearted jokester, who could be stubborn at times, but always did for others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; “Ted” Edgar Lucas and George Gift, and his sister; Charlotte Jones. John is survived by his wife of 38 years, Brenda Lucas, daughter; Joanne L. Myers (Robert) of Etters, 2 sons; Scott Lucas (Justine) of Carlisle and Christopher Lucas (Rhonda) of Myerstown, brother; William Kamin of Mechanicsburg, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM at Musselman Funeral Home on Friday, July 22, 2016 with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033.
