John A. Pringle, 92, of Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg, formerly of Camp Hill died on Saturday, December 4, 2021. He was the son of the late Allison S. and Mildred Spence Pringle, born on April 17, 1929, Harrisburg PA. He was a graduate of the former John Harris H.S. He served during the Korean War as a U.S. Naval photographer. Following graduation from Shippensburg University, He earned a fellowship to the University of Rhode Island, and Franklin and Marshall College. He served on the staffs of the Pennsylvania Heart Association and local chapter, concluding his career in student personnel work and substituted teaching at Cumberland Valley High School. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill; past president, life member of the Harris Ferry Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, past commander, life member of Camp Hill Post 43, American Legion; past president of the Keystonians Historical Society of Dauphin County; board member, Messiah Lifeways residents council; member of West Shore Masonic Lodge, 681; Scottish Rite, Valley of Harrisburg; life member of the Zembo Shrine; life member, Hummelstown Historical Society; member PA. R&E, and Old Timers Athletic Association. Surviving are a nieces, Lisa Corish and husband George; Cheryl Pringle, great- niece, Casey and great- nephew, Spencer Davis, a sister-in law, Gladys Pringle and several cousins. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother George Pringle. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, PA. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Burial will follow at Rolling Green Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pringle Scholarship Fund, Shippensburg University Foundation, 500 Newburg Road, Shippensburg, PA. 17257, or to the Pringle Environmental Award, Cumberland Valley High School 6746 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA. 17050, or to Trinity Lutheran Church 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, PA. 17011.
