Maryann Allison - Grandon

March 30, 1955 - December 19, 2020

Maryann Allison - Grandon, 65, of Camp Hill, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 19 in the company of her loving husband. Maryann was the daughter of Paul Allison and Dorothy Ann Allison (Dimartino) of New Cumberland. Maryann attended St Theresa’s elementary and Cedar Cliff High schools. She served 3 years in the US army reserves. Her radio advertising sales career began in Harrisburg, moved to State College, the Wilkes-Barre Scranton area and finally to Seattle Washington. After returning home from Seattle, she retired from radio and started a new career with the Department of Labor and industry – Office of Vocational rehabilitation from which she retired in 2017. Gordon and Maryann were married in a private ceremony with friends and family on December 30, of that same year, in Margate City, one of their most favorite vacation spots. Maryann had a bubbly and infectious personality and many of her friends were able to instantly recognize her throughout the years because of what her husband referred to as ‘that million-dollar smile’. She also loved the beach where she and her husband spent many vacations in places like Margate City, Myrtle Beach and Cocoa Beach. Maryann loved gardening and arranging flowers and thoroughly enjoyed making arrangements for friends and relatives for all occasions, especially family gatherings. Maryann is predeceased by her parents Paul and Dorothy. She is survived by her husband Gordon, sister Elizabeth (Hall) and her husband William; step children Chris Campbell, Jennifer McCullough, Mike Grandon, and Jeffrey Grandon; niece Layne Hall; nephew Brit Hall and cousin Al Allison. Maryann is also survived by birth sisters Amy Harris and husband James and Valerie Tostanoski, her aunt Joanne Sawmiller and cousin Greg Sawmiller. Due to Covid restrictions there will be no ceremony but a memorial will be held at a later date and announced with a reposting of her obituary.
