Richard L. Baker

October 18, 1930 - November 25, 2017

Richard L. Baker, 87, of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Bethany Village. Born October 18, 1930 in Shippensburg, he was the son of the late Elden and Dorothy (Forsythe) Baker. Dick was a 1948 graduate of William Penn High School and retired from TRW as a production control coordinator. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who was happy-go-lucky, full of life and an avid sport fan. Dick was a member of the National Guard from 1948 to 1951. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Joan Gerber and their son, Mike Baker, as well as his sister, Dottie Acri. Dick is survived by his adoring wife, Dee Gusler, four daughters; Pam Mummert and husband, Mark, Jodi Budzinski and husband, Bud, Susan Garced and husband, Ramon, and Yvonne Ayala and husband, Monserrate; two step-children; Terry Gusler and wife, Terry and Traci Amicucci and husband, Frank, daughter-in-law; Stephanie Baker. Dick is also survived by eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm at Musselman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Westminster Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Musselman Funeral Home Is Honored To Serve The Baker Family.
