Glenn Irwin Bobb Jr born January 21, 1936 in Mount Holly Springs, PA passed away on October 2, 2017 at Messiah Lifeways in Mechanicsburg to join his pre-deceased loving wife of 57 years, Gerlinde T Bobb and his parents Glenn Sr. and Pauline Bobb (Wright) After graduating from John Harris High School he served honorably as a Specialist Third Class in the US Army. Following his military service, he worked at the Evangelical Press in Harrisburg as on offset printer and ultimately foreman. In the early 1970’s he started his own printing business (Silk Screen Printers) which he ran until his retirement 32 years later. Glenn had a quick wit and loved to make people smile and laugh – and a more trusted ally you couldn’t find. He had an insatiable quest for knowledge and continue his studies into his golden years. He loved cooking for friends and family – and always welcomed the many special orders he received. He was well renowned for his Baklava and pies. He enjoyed tinkering in his woodshop and sharing his passion for furniture making with his son and grandsons. Before retirement he was an active member of the International Printing House Craftsmen and served as a district governor and ultimately president receiving too many awards to notate. He was the past president of the Cumberland Valley Amateur Hockey Association which operated out of the Skateium in Mechanicsburg in the late 1970s. He is survived by his son Glenn III and his wife Brenda of Mechanicsburg; daughter Christina Book of Mechanicsburg and three beloved grandchildren, Alexander, Derek and Adrienne Book of Mechanicsburg; Brothers Dennis Bobb, Barry Bobb of Mechanicsburg; Allen Bobb of Port Jarvis NY; Sisters Joyce Rehm of Mechanicsburg, and Brenda Orr of Lewisberry. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 9th at 11:00AM at the Chapel of Musselman Funeral Home, Inc., Lemoyne with Father Robert Yohe officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at the Heaven’s Gate cemetery in Mechanicsburg. Visitation will be from 9AM -11AM Monday at the funeral home immediately prior to the service.
